What the Timex Watch Teaches About Time
Travel back in time to 1854.
During that year in Connecticut, "The Waterbury Clock Company" entered the universe of "time pieces," or as we like to say - "watches" and "clocks."
But for a time, "The Waterbury Clock Company" had a couple of name changes, evidently experiencing an identity crisis.
It became known as "The United States Time Corporation" in the 1940's and finally settled on the name "Timex" in 1950.
But it's their iconic slogan that rocketed the firm with popularity and success.
"It takes a licking and keeps on ticking," propelled Timex as a product you can rely on time after time after time.
Reliability and durability...well, that's a timely description of Timex!
But going back to their slogan.
Timex reminds you that time keeps on ticking.
And with the arrival of a new year, it's time to offer you a few thoughts about the precious commodity of time.
